The aim of the collaboration is to promote the digitization of the social and socio-health sector, especially in the rural area, as well as to encourage both the people served and the professionals to be actively involved in the digital transformation of the sector.
Suara Cooperativa has signed an agreement with i2CAT to establish a collaboration framework to identify, promote and develop research projects at the local and European level, which enable the analysis of the impact that advanced digital technologies have on the social and socio-health sector, with the aim of improving the quality of services.
This commitment will be conveyed through the Col·laboratorio Catalunya initiative, promoted by the Generalitat de Catalunya and i2CAT, which promotes the quadruple helix model, through which the world of academia and research, companies, administrations and citizens to collaborate in projects that promote an inclusive digital transition. The agreement also includes collaboration to promote the Living Lab methodology, both in rural and urban areas.
One of the most relevant examples is the Health and Wellness Collaboratory, which generates synergies in this area and is internationalized through the European INTEGER project, within the Horizon Europe program.
Within the framework of the agreement, which also aims for the people served and professionals to be an active part of this digital transformation, i2CAT will facilitate the identification and connection with startups, academic centers and groups of relevant citizens so that Suara Cooperativa develops social projects in areas rural areas that adopt advanced digital technologies. For its part, Suara Cooperativa will contribute as a reference actor, contributing its knowledge and relational network, to promote the deployment of Col·laboratorio Catalunya in the metropolitan area of Barcelona.
With this agreement, i2CAT and Suara Cooperativa reaffirm their commitment to innovation and the digital transformation of the social and socio-health sector, working together to build a more inclusive and technologically advanced future.
