The Assembly, which was held yesterday in virtual format, is the highest governance body of the organization where members participate with equal rights, voice and vote in decision-making.

Suara Cooperativa held its Extraordinary General Assembly this Thursday, where some 1,880 members were invited to participate. Once again, the high participation was highlighted, reaching 85.5% of the total number of members.

The General Assembly, which met virtually this November, is the highest decision-making body of Suara Cooperativa, which has a horizontal and democratic governance model. Therefore, without any distinction, all members participate in equal conditions, rights and votes in matters that affect both the present and future of the cooperative. For example, among other things, at yesterday's meeting, different points of the reform of the Statutes were put to the vote.

With the aim of facilitating participation, the cooperative launched an APP through which members could exercise their right to vote during a good part of the day: from 08:30 to 18:15.

This is the second time that the General Assembly meets this 2025, after an ordinary one took place in person on May 31. On that occasion, participation rose to 96% of the people summoned.

Participation spaces throughout the year

Despite being one of the largest work cooperatives in Catalonia, Suara achieves these high attendance figures because it generates spaces for participation for members throughout the year.

Among them, there are the General Assembly Preparation Spaces (EPAGs), where the Governing Council and the general co-management explain to members the different points that will be put to the vote so that they can have all the relevant information to exercise this right.

Also, throughout the year there are different meeting spaces with the Governing Council, corporate routes are carried out to learn about the different services or, also, Open Circles take place on topics that are of interest to the members of the cooperative.
