At Suara Cooperativa, we took part in the innovation mission organised by ACCIÓ and Catalonia Trade & Investment at VivaTech 2026, Europe's leading innovation and technology event, held in Paris. This experience enabled us to identify new solutions in artificial intelligence, assistive robotics and digital health that can help transform person-centred care.
Represented by our Director of Innovation, Jordi Picas Vilà, we joined a delegation of Catalan companies and organisations to explore the latest international trends in open innovation, digital health and technologies applied to social and healthcare services.
During the visit, we explored a range of initiatives aimed at addressing today's care challenges, particularly those that can improve people's quality of life, strengthen personal autonomy and support professional care teams.
Among the solutions analysed were assistive robotics platforms such as Temi, an intelligent telepresence robot designed for healthcare environments; Unitree G1, a next-generation humanoid robot; and the exoskeletons developed by Innophys, designed to reduce the physical workload of professionals and improve the mobility of people receiving care.
The mission also gave us the opportunity to discover artificial intelligence applications focused on cognitive and emotional wellbeing. These included Amical, a virtual assistant available 24/7 to support people living with Alzheimer's disease; solutions developed by Cogniser, including JoyBot, designed for emotional support, and AutismBot, created to enhance the autonomy and communication of people on the autism spectrum; as well as Healo, an AI platform focused on the wellbeing and mental health of professional teams.
One of the most inspiring sessions at VivaTech was the panel "Machines That Care", which explored the role that artificial intelligence and robotics can play in the future of care. This discussion raises an important question for us as an organisation: how can we embrace technology while preserving the human essence of care?
At Suara Cooperativa, we are clear about one thing: technology should not replace human relationships—it should strengthen them. It can help us automate certain tasks, reduce physical and operational workloads, and enable professional teams to devote more time to support, empathy and person-centred care.
Our participation in VivaTech 2026 reinforces Suara Cooperativa's commitment to social innovation and knowledge transfer. Through the Social Digital Lab, we continue to explore emerging technologies that enable us to develop new projects, validate innovative solutions and promote a more sustainable, efficient and people-centred model of care.
