The projects DOMOBOI and Cohabitem, developed by Suara Cooperativa’s Social Digital Lab, have been selected as finalists for the SilverEco & Ageing Well International Awards 2026, one of the world's leading international recognitions in the fields of ageing, care and social innovation.

Suara Cooperativa’s Social Digital Lab has been nominated for the SilverEco 2026 International Awards with two projects that share the same goal: transforming support for older adults through social and technological innovation.

The two nominated projects are DOMOBOI and Cohabitem Bcn, two initiatives that provide innovative solutions to some of the key challenges associated with ageing.

DOMOBOI offers an intelligent home support system that uses artificial intelligence and non-invasive sensors installed in electricity meters to detect significant changes in older people's daily routines. This technology helps anticipate potential risk situations, enabling people to maintain their independence and continue living safely in their own homes while always preserving their privacy.

Meanwhile, Cohabitem Bcn promotes an intergenerational co-living model through an online platform that matches older adults who have a spare room with young people looking for affordable housing. The project helps reduce unwanted loneliness, fosters relationships between generations and creates new forms of community support.

Being nominated for the SilverEco & Ageing Well International Awards is further recognition of Suara Cooperativa's commitment to promoting a people-centred innovation model that combines technology, social innovation and collaborative work to address the major challenges facing the care sector.

Support us by voting for both initiatives! Every vote counts and helps us raise the profile of two transformative projects that advance care and independent living.
