Suara starts a new course with the study support groups of the Caixa Proinfància program, accompanying 100 infants and adolescents from Girona and Salt.
One more year, Suara participates in the study support groups of the Caixa Proinfància program for the territories of Girona and Salt. In this course, approximately 100 primary and secondary students will benefit from the educational reinforcement offered by this initiative.
What is the Caixa Proinfància program?
The program, financed by the “La Caixa” Foundation, serves families with children and adolescents from 0 to 18 years old in situations of poverty and/or social exclusion. It is developed in collaboration with the local public administration, which derives from the participating families, and with various social entities of the territory, which are service providers.
Suara has participated in the Caixa Proinfància Program since 2018, promoting different school reinforcement groups for primary and secondary school students.
What do we do for study support groups?
The groups are formatted for a maximum of 5 students and are organized by a professional with a university degree, who accompanies each child or adolescent throughout the course.
The main objectives are:
- Consolidate and expand basic competencies
- Improve school performance and autonomy in jobs
- Develop organizational and planning habits
- Promote the desire to learn and to be happy
- Promote social capabilities that facilitate school and community inclusion
