The new General Director of Social and Solidarity Economy, the Third Sector and Cooperatives of the Generalitat de Catalunya, Juli Silvestre, visited the headquarters of Suara Cooperativa in Barcelona on Friday, July 21. Silvestre has assumed the position this July, replacing Josep Vidal.
Silvestre's visit to Suara was led by Tomàs Llompart and Laura Peracaula, Suara's general co-director, together with the President of the Governing Council, Laia Bonastra, and the Director of Digital Transformation, Àngels Cobo. During the visit, the General Director of Social and Solidarity Economy had the opportunity to explore some of the recent spaces that Suara has developed with the aim of improving care for people. The experience has allowed him to see first-hand the innovative initiatives implemented by Suara to achieve a positive impact on the well-being of the people they offer support to. He has also learned the details of the pilot tests of care for the elderly, families, professionals and cooperatives developed within the framework of the Singulars Projects financed by the Generalitat de Catalunya.
Suara's Social Digital Lab, which Silvestre was able to visit, includes the digital home of the Independent Living Center (a completely accessible and digital home, equipped with the latest innovations in home automation, combined with the simplest solutions, so that people can see and test all the support products available on the market and aimed at people with mobility difficulties) or the immersive and virtual technology room, where people can experiment and carry out pilot tests.
The Social Digital Lab promotes co-creation, bringing together professionals, clients, people served and industry experts, who work together to generate new ideas and projects through agile methodologies, also with the aim of improving customer service.
Suara has recently been recognized with the IP22@ badge awarded by the 22@Network BCN business association as the most innovative company for its technological commitment to caring for people, through the Social Digital Lab.
