The Department of Business and Work of the Generalitat de Catalunya has validated this May the new Suara Cooperativa Equality Plan. With this last administrative procedure carried out, the equality commission will be able to continue working for equal treatment and opportunities for women, men and non-binary people in the cooperative, integrate the gender perspective across the company's culture and homogenize criteria of equality and gender perspective in all areas.
Suara's equality commission aims to consolidate the principle of equal treatment between women, men and non-binary people, guarantee the absence of direct or indirect discrimination, promote the reconciliation of work, personal and family life and prevent sexual harassment, due to gender or sexual orientation, among others. These objectives are specified in 20 actions to carry them out, with deadlines and indicators to evaluate them.
