TEMPRIA is an innovative initiative that combines technology and social care to improve the quality of life of elderly people who live alone. Through a non-invasive monitoring system, TEMPRIA enables early detection of changes in daily routines that may indicate physical, cognitive, or emotional decline.

As a first phase, a pilot test has been launched with 4 participants, allowing the proposal to be tested and its impact evaluated. This trial is key to validating both the methodology and the technological functionalities, and it is already showing promising results that point toward a possible innovative and non-intrusive way of detecting cognitive decline. Moreover, it will pave the way for scaling the project in future care settings.

Artificial intelligence in the service of wellbeing
At the heart of the project are environmental sensors that collect data about usual in-home activity—such as ambient sounds, mobility, or sleeping habits. These sensors do not record images or identifiable audio, ensuring user privacy.

The data is analyzed using artificial intelligence algorithms capable of identifying patterns and detecting any significant changes. If anomalies are detected, the system can generate alerts so that social or healthcare professionals can intervene preventively.

A new way to provide support from a distance
TEMPRIA was created to address a growing reality: many elderly people live alone and may be exposed to risky situations without anyone noticing in time. The system enables continuous and discreet monitoring of a person’s wellbeing, without the need for constant or intrusive contact.

This approach respects the autonomy and privacy of individuals while providing a safety net that can make a difference in critical moments.

Collaboration for social innovation
The project is driven by an alliance between Suara, IDIBGI, and La Salle-URL, who work together to develop solutions with real impact. TEMPRIA also receives public funding to ensure its progressive and accessible implementation.

Towards a more humane and efficient care model
With TEMPRIA, a step is being taken toward a home care model focused on prevention, personalization, and the responsible use of technology. The goal is to ensure a safer, more connected, and dignified old age for everyone—especially those who live alone.
