Applied technology, partnerships and results to better support people with rights, privacy and real-world impact. Suara Cooperativa’s Social Digital Lab looks back on 2025, consolidating an innovation line focused on improving support and the quality of care, with people at the center.
A journey with deep roots (born in the territory)
At Suara, innovation has been part of the cooperative DNA for more than a decade: first as a way to rethink the day-to-day work of services, and later as a structural commitment serving the entire organization. This path evolved from Suara Lab into the Social Digital Lab, with a way of working based on co-creation, testing in real environments, and ethical, safe, rights-respecting evaluation.
Today, the Social Digital Lab operates as a Living Lab, connecting people receiving support, professional teams, and local stakeholders to turn social challenges into useful, sustainable solutions. Innovation here is not “testing technology”: it is validating new ways of supporting people so they create real value in everyday life.
2025 in numbers
Throughout the year, the Lab delivered:
- 40 implemented projects.
- 12 pilots across services and territories, of which over 30% have already been consolidated.
- 12 internal hackathons to accelerate co-creation and solution transfer.
This activity has translated into projects and pilots across diverse areas, such as home-based support, older adults, immersive reality, robotics, and support for professional teams, guided by a focus on prevention, autonomy, and rights, with special attention to privacy and real-world usefulness.
2025 recognitions
The Social Digital Lab’s work also received awards in different settings:
- SilverEco Award (Cannes) for the project “Immersive Wellbeing for Older Adults” (Wellbeing Immersive for Elderly People).
- ENoLL LivingLab Days Award (Andorra) for the project Llars connectades.
- weMind Award (Barcelona) for the project Benestarum.
Looking ahead to 2026
In 2026, the Social Digital Lab will continue innovating to provide better care, strengthening collaboration with public, social, academic and business partners to scale solutions that deliver value and impact.
