Suara Cooperativa, in collaboration with the Sant Joan de Déu Hospital, has launched resilients to transform the mental health care of young tutoring and extuthorized through immersive therapy. This initiative, funded by the Center for Social and Health Innovation (HIS), is a step forward in social and health integration, using immersive technology in the therapeutic process and the emancipation of young people with a mental health condition.

Through a deinstitutionalization model, the project seeks to provide youth to tools and strategies to face the transition to adulthood successfully. "Technology offers a controlled and safe environment for young people, which allows you to work in key emotional and cognitive aspects for their autonomy and welcome," says Pau Ibáñez, Suara psychologist who leads the pilot test.

Innovative approach and with a social aspect

Seven young people attended the accompanya’m and post-acompanya’m programs will participate in immersive reality sessions for two months led by a team of social and clinical professionals to prove the effectiveness of this technology as a therapeutic complement.

This collaboration model between entities seeks to add efforts to empower young people and improve their emotional well -being.  Imma Insa, responsible for the unit, emphasizes the importance of postacompanya'm for young people with difficulty in acquiring autonomy habits.

Innovation and evidence in mental health

Immersive reality technologies are emerging as promising mental health solutions, improving access to therapeutic treatments and results. "With Resilient, we want to demonstrate that technology can revolutionize psychosocial attention, offering effective therapeutic experiences," says Ibáñez. Research in immersive treatments has demonstrated a reduction in anxiety and depression, as well as evidence in the treatment of phobias, social anxiety and post -traumatic stress disorder (PTSP). This therapy is compatible with cognitive -behavioral therapy and can help reduce social isolation, improving the well of hospitalized and young children.

The future of psychosocial care in Catalonia

Suara Cooperativa is positioned as a leader in the use of immersive reality in psychosocial care, through its digital social laboratory, in collaboration with Broomx Technologies. This specialized incubator allows solutions to face social health challenges and well.

It is estimated that between 57,000 and 78,000 Catalan young people attended by social services could benefit from these complementary therapies. Resilients is a step forward towards a future in which technology and social innovation combine to improve the lives of the most vulnerable young people.
