Cooperative members approve in the General Assembly the agenda and renew the bodies of ethics and Resources.

Suara Cooperativa approved last Saturday, May 31, in its ordinary general assembly, the consolidated accounts of 2024 with a 96% participation and about 1,856 members convened. 

In 2024, Suara reached a turnover of 150.6 million euros, 13.04% more than the previous year, consolidating its presence and impact throughout the territory. 

This growth has resulted in the accompaniment of 149,360 people, especially promoted by the incorporation of the Barcelona Telecare Service. 68% of the people attended are women and the level of satisfaction reaches 8.95 out of 10, figures that reflect the quality and proximity of the services.

The activity of the cooperative has generated an integrated social value of 398 million euros, 40% more than the previous year, an indicator that measures the social return in quality of life, employment, training, and innovation.

Female leadership and commitment to people

The growth of Suara is also reflected in its team: the workforce has reached 5,861 people, 1,797 members and members, with 88% of women and an average age of 45 years. Female leadership is maintained in the governing bodies, with 8 of the 9 members of the Governing Board and 79% of the Strategic Board of Directors. The number of members has increased by 14%, to 1,797.

Innovation and Welfare: Axes of Future

The cooperative is committed to the training and well -being of its working people, with 78,000 hours of training performed and programs such as Benestarum,The guide to accompany people with cancer, the protocol against violence against women or the policy of protection and good treatment in children and adolescents.

Innovation is key in the transformation of the care model, with an investment of 5.5 million euros in projects such as AliuraCasal TV o Llars Connectades, developed in the Social Digital Lab, where it is experienced with emerging technologies to improve care for people.

Participation and Shared Governance

The assembly was also space to renew the ethics and resources committees and recognize the work of the outgoing people. Transparency and cooperative spirit were evidenced in the open turn of prayers and questions and in the presentation of the #Suaraésteva project, which reviews the regulation of internal regime and the statutes with the active participation of the social base.

A referent model of social economy

During the meeting, the role of Suara was used as a reference in social economy and innovation. Raúl Moreno, Secretary General for Social Rights and Government Inclusion, stated "Suara is a benchmark in the way a strong and rooted social economy articulates."

In the same vein, David Bonvehí, General Director of Social and Solidarity Economy and Cooperativism, emphasized: "Have people involved and keys to co -operatives in Catalonia and outside Catalan territory".

Presence and commitment everywhere

This impulse reflects the almost 300 projects in 24 Catalan counties and in other territories of the State and Chile, demonstrating that it can be done otherwise, putting people and the social impact at the center of the activity.

With a great influx and a deeply participatory atmosphere, the Ordinary General Assembly 2025 reaffirms the desire to continue to grow from social commitment, shared governance and transformative innovation.
