Suara Cooperativa has renewed for the fourteenth consecutive year the Diversity Charter, which promotes equal opportunities in the world of work and has the support of 16,000 entities in the European Union.
Last October 10 was International Mental Health Day and, in this context, the Diversity Foundation, which promotes the Diversity Charter, of which Suara Cooperativa is a signatory, has promoted the campaign “Your mental health, our commitment”. From Suara Cooperativa we join this campaign, which began on October 6 and will take place until October 17. The campaign revolves around four main axes:
Leadership: leading teams cannot be a burden on mental health and how from leadership positions we can enhance diversity and foster inclusive teams
How to combat mental health prejudices to break down barriers and stigmas around mental disorders
How companies can foster an inclusive culture and ensure the well-being and mental health of workers
How work-life balance can improve the mental health of workers.
On the other hand, this October 14th the webinar “Mental Health: Creating a Healthy Work Environment”.
Well-being programs at Suara Cooperativa
At Suara Cooperativa we are an organization dedicated to social action and, therefore, we ensure the well-being of the people we serve. “Taking care of those who care: an organizational duty with an eye to the future”, explains Sergi Bota, director of the People Area in an interview on our blog.
In this context, the cooperative has different actions to ensure the mental health and well-being of workers. One of them is the Immersive Mindfulness program, which all workers can register for.
The other is the Benestarum platform, through which workers can access different online sessions with experts in psychological, emotional, physical well-being, nutritionists or financial advisors, among others.
Suara renews the Diversity Charter
At Suara Cooperativa, this year we have renewed once again the Diversity Charter, which we have subscribed to consecutively for fourteen years. This charter seeks to promote equal opportunities in the world of work. The Diversity Charter, promoted by the Diversity Foundation and which has the support of 1,600 entities in Spain and 16,000 in the European Union, is governed by the following ten principles:
1. Raise awareness about equality and respect for diversity as company values.
2. Advance the diversity of teams, integrating diverse profiles.
3. Promote inclusion and avoid any form of discrimination at work.
4. Consider diversity in all people management policies.
5. Promote work-life balance and co-responsibility in working hours.
6. Recognize the diversity of customers as a source of innovation.
7. Communicate the commitment to diversity to all staff.
8. Extend the commitment to supplier companies.
9. Transfer the commitment to third-party entities.
10. Disseminate the diversity and inclusion policies and the results obtained.
