88% of the Suara Cooperativa team are women, who occupy 78% of management positions; an average that is above the rest of the companies in Spain where these figures are at 46% and 30%, respectively.
The Diversity Foundation has prepared "Diverse Thermometer in Spain. From commitment to action: How do organizations comply with the Diversity Charter?", the first of its kind in Spain.
This report, which was presented today in Madrid, analyzes the degree of compliance with the ten principles of the Diversity Charter, based on data from almost 1,000 organizations that bring together more than 1.4 million workers.
According to this report, 82% of organizations already include diversity, inclusion and equity (DE&I) in their corporate values and ethical codes, among which is Suara Cooperativa.
Furthermore, according to the X-ray of the Spanish report: the workforce includes 46% women, although only 30% occupy management positions; 10% are employees of diverse origins (below the Spanish average of 14.2%); 15.5% are under 30 years old and 13.1% are over 55 years old; finally, 62% of companies implement specific measures for the LGTBI+ group.
Suara Cooperativa, above average in female incorporation
In the case of Suara Cooperativa, we are above the average of the barometer in terms of equality. In this context, women occupy 88% of the organization's work team; while we occupy 78% of the cooperative's management positions.
On the other hand, at Suara Cooperativa we were pioneers in implementing measures to combat the harassment of LGTBIQ+ people. The first protocol to guarantee the rights of LGTBIQ+ people was approved at the beginning of 2024 and it was updated, practically, a year later. In addition, this year, Suara has carried out mandatory training for all workers in the organization on equality and how to preserve the rights of LGTBIQ+ people in the workplace to promote a culture of equality and non-discrimination within the cooperative.
We are also above average in incorporating talent from diverse origins among the professionals of Suara Cooperativa. In detail, 15% of our team is of diverse origin.
There are still outstanding challenges in hiring people under 30, who represent 15% of professionals, and those over 50 are at 10.3%, according to the closing data for 2024 published in our sustainability report.
This year we have renewed for the 14th consecutive year the Diversity Charter, from the Diversity Foundation, which accredits us as an entity that promotes equal opportunities in the world of work.
