Aragonès was able to see different pilot tests promoted by the Social Digital Lab, the cooperative's social innovation laboratory, as well as learn more about the organization's social action.
The Honorable expresident Pere Aragonès visited the headquarters of Suara Cooperativa in Barcelona this Monday to learn about its social transformation projects, as well as the organization's social action.
In this context, the visit, which lasted more than two hours, began with a tour of the organization's facilities, in which he saw how projects such as Llars Connectades, which uses sensors and intelligence in home care, work; Casal Online, which connects elderly people who are alone at home through television so that they can interact with each other and participate in activities to improve their cognitive, physical and emotional well-being; as well as Benestarum, a virtual platform through which the organization ensures the well-being of workers with individual sessions with experts in the psychological, nutritional, physical, physiotherapeutic or fiscal fields, among others.
On behalf of Suara, the visit was led by the general co-management, Tomàs Llompart and Laura Peracaula, the director of Social Transformation projects, Àngels Cobo, and the director of the innovation area, Jordi Picas, who told Aragonès about the different pilot tests that are being carried out from the Social Digital Lab, the cooperative's social innovation laboratory. As a result of its action, Suara has been recognized with the Catalonia Exponential Leader'24 seal, which accredits it as one of the ten leading companies in disruptive technology in Catalonia.
Among other projects, he was able to see how the cooperative uses robotics in the healthcare field, virtual reality to deal with gender violence among adolescents and young people, artificial intelligence to detect possible health problems. In addition, he was able to see the benefits that immersive reality can have to improve the health and well-being of older people with aging processes with cognitive and physical deterioration, of children with traumatic experiences such as migratory grief or, also, to combat burnout symptoms such as stress or anxiety.
In fact, today an Immersive Mindfulness session was being held, an activity that Suara Cooperativa offers free of charge to its workers with the aim of improving their well-being, which Aragonès attended.
The visit also included the digital home of the Independent Living Center, where technological solutions and other simpler ones that adapt to the needs and realities of each case are explored with people cared for in a situation of dependency, so that they can have a dignified and higher quality life in their homes.
Subsequently, Aragonès held a working meeting with Peracaula and Cobo, where they were able to present the social action of the cooperative, as well as its benefits for people, the environment and the community in general.
