In our organization we accompany people from all walks of life, so the literary proposals come from people of all ages.
At Suara Cooperativa, people, both members, workers and those assisted, are the ones at the center of our action. For this reason, last year 11 workers proposed different books for Sant Jordi; while this year 11 people we accompany in our services are the ones who have made us the bibliographical recommendations.
Therefore, this 2025, the people assisted are the protagonists of our Sant Jordi Campaign. In this context, in our services we attend to all walks of life, so we have received proposals from people of different ages, ranging from childhood to the elderly.
From the educational service Com a Casa de l’Espai Alberes (Castelló d’Empúries), where children and adolescents between 8 and 14 years old come to do their homework and share with other people their age, Guilherme and Ziad, both 11 years old, and Denzel (11 years old) have recommended these three books to us.
Fernando, 67, is a lover of reading, especially historical novels. He's currently one of the people we support in the First Home service for people who have experienced homelessness, and he recommends two books. Habib Samaan G.K., 77, whom we serve in a temporary shelter service for people experiencing homelessness, is also passionate about historical novels, and therefore, he sends us a recommendation in this area.
From Martorell, David, 57 years old, whom we support in a Unit Dependent of Justice, proposes us a classic work of Spanish literature, but with a message that is very valid almost 500 years later.

Isabel, Juana Katherine and Carme work as home helpers in Home Care Services (SAD) managed by Suara Cooperativa, but we are now training them at the Suara Campusso that they can grow within the cooperative and become family workers. They also wanted to share their proposals with us.
Casal TV is a service that we have for older people who are alone at home and that has, among other objectives, to combat unwanted loneliness. For this reason, through a simple device that we install on televisions, they can interact with other people who are in the same situation, as well as participate in workshops, gymnastics classes or various activities to improve their cognitive, physical and emotional well-being, as well as build a relational network. Antonia, 87 years old, Conxita, 77 years old, and Charo, 60 years old, are participants in this service and these are their bibliographical recommendations.
At Suara Cooperativa we are people who decided to unite with the aim of promoting a social transformation that improves the lives of people, especially those in vulnerable situations and, in this way, achieve a more just, equal and equitable society.
Therefore, in accordance with our cooperative values, we are committed to a model of close support for the person served and their environment with services rooted in the community and the territory; at the same time, we promote spaces of participation where we put the person served at the center to empower them through decision-making on everyday issues and, in this way, lead their life project.
It is for this reason that, this year, we wanted to put the people we accompany in our services and their bibliographical recommendations at the center of the Sant Jordi campaign so that they are the true protagonists of this special day. Suara Cooperativa, readers who decide.
