This training is closely related to the organizational culture of the Cooperative, which is committed to equal treatment and opportunities for women, men and non-binary people in the organization.

Beyond the recent published regulations on equality, Suara Cooperativa has been working for years with the aim of adopting various protocols, actions and measures to guarantee effective equality and non-discrimination among all the people who are part of it.

For this reason, among other actions, Suara Cooperativa has recently begun to train workers in equality and LGTBIQ+. This training, which is mandatory and takes place in a virtual format, is closely related to the Equality Plan approved in 2022, as well as the LGTBIQ+ protocol that was approved and updated during 2024.

In detail, on May 18, 2022, the current Equality Plan of the Cooperative was approved. However, previously, Suara Cooperativa had already approved and published two Equality Plans, as well as a conciliation guide. And not only that, but the Cooperative is currently working on several short-term actions on equality:

  • the publication of a tool to measure the level of equality in services.
  • the publication of training on equality and diversity.
  • the approval of a support protocol for trans people.

Source of inspiration

Thus, the defense of equality is part of the culture of Suara Cooperativa. For this reason, we are also an inspiration and role model for other organizations in matters of equality.

All of this demonstrates Suara's desire for the Cooperative to continue to be a space of trust, safe and committed to people, as well as society in general.

It must be borne in mind that these objectives have been achieved thanks to each and every one of the people who are part of the organization, ensuring that every day is better.
