Suara Cooperativa has once again renewed its commitment to the 2023-2025 Diversity Charter, with an adherence that began 12 years ago. It is an initiative of the European Commission within the framework of the European Union's Platform for Diversity Letters addressed to companies, institutions and entities, of voluntary membership, and as a sign of respect in relation to the equality of opportunities and non-discrimination.
The Diversity Charter is based on 10 basic principles:
- Transversally raise awareness about diversity and inclusion.
- Build an inclusive workforce.
- Promote an inclusive culture.
- Transversal diversity management.
- Promote conciliation and co-responsibility policies.
- Recognize the diversity of customers as a source of value
- Internally communicate this commitment to the entire workforce.
- Invite supplier companies to join the Charter.
- Externally communicate the signature of the letter.
- Disseminate diversity and inclusion best practices and results obtained.
“Diversity and inclusion foster cohesive communities and maximize innovation and growth. To achieve this, we must use all talents and leave no one behind. Therefore, it is important to assess where we are and whether our diversity policies are working", says Helena Dalli, Commissioner for Equality of the European Union.
