Representatives of the University of Tetouan visit Suara to continue strengthening alliances and sharing experiences in the field of inclusion and cooperation.
Suara Cooperativa will join the pass as an institutional event with five members of the professors of the University of Tetouan, within the framework of the Moroccan Living Training project, which has been carried out since 2023. The day has ended at the Suara headquarters, in the Poblenou neighborhood of Barcelona, with the aim of continuing the work. Strategic alliances for training, research and international cooperation.
Among the assistants, Professor Tlidi Mohamed, deputy director of cooperation and scientific research, stands out; Professor Maria Boujaddaine, dean of the Faculty of Legal, Economic, and Social Sciences; Professor Khaili Mariam, expert in Social Law; Professor El Hamdouni Youssef, specialist in International Relations, and Professor Boukoouit Samira, from Dret Administratiu.
During the trial, academic representatives will be able to first understand Suara's cooperative model, along with its commitment to social inclusion and comprehensive care for people in situations of vulnerability, especially in the area of migrant youth. In this sense, Ana Besa, head of the Young Migrants Unit of the General Directorate of Promotion and Protection of Infants and Adolescents (DGPPIA), will also participate, who will highlight “the importance of generating stable collaborative spaces between administrations, the third sector and academic institutions to donate responses to the global challenges of the youth migration”.
The day will include field visits to two reference services in Barcelona: the CPA Zona Franca, a support center for people in the community, and the Mirabolà, First Support Care Service (SPAI), managed by Suara, the educational team will be able to share experiences with the representatives of the university, reinforcing "the need to create community links between young migrants and the supporting society," says Karim Bennaser, director of the center.
This visit is inscribed in a line of sustained work that is committed to intercooperation between entities in northern Morocco, fruit of the Experiential Training for professionals from Suara in Morocco, starting in 2023. A project that will train both the unidirectional logics of cooperation and build symmetrical relationships and transformers, with a direct impact on the communities.
The task will end with the commitment to continue developing joint projects in areas such as applied research, the exchange of connections and practical training, with a focus on the rights of migrants and sustainable social development.
