Since its inception, Suara Cooperativa has shown a clear involvement with the education of people at all stages of their lives. As part of International Education Day, which is celebrated on January 24, Suara highlights its work in the educational field, currently managing more than 35 services.
More specifically, Suara provides its own educational models in 21 nursery schools, 5 adult training centers, 3 schools (through the secondary cooperative Creixen Educació, together with Escola Sant Gervasi and Abacus Cooperativa), and other complementary services such as educational reinforcements and shared schooling units.
Likewise, and despite the drop in the birth rate that currently predominates in our society, Suara continues to focus on the education of the little ones. In this sense, the organization has launched the Somriures Nursery School, an educational project carried out jointly with Mercarbarna, which fulfills the dual mission of promoting the learning of the little ones and facilitating the reconciliation of work and family for their parents.
It is a space located in the wholesale market of Mercabarna, an area close to the Zona Franca and El Prat, strategic poles of economic activity, which was created to meet the needs of the families who work there in relation to the education of their children
The Somriures Nursery School has 6 classrooms, with a capacity to accommodate 82 children aged between 4 months and 3 years, with an educational model typical of a nursery school where professionals in this field promote the development of the values and emotions of the most children, encouraging their curiosity and participation.
In the words of Laura Gómez, Director of Suara's Customer Area: "Today's children and young people are the adults of the society of the future. That is why it is key for companies like Suara not to stop in the educational field in the face of the drop in the birth rate and to continue to encourage their learning and development with measures that guarantee their education".
