Suara Cooperativa with the Regional Council of Vallès Oriental, through the Basic Area of Social Services (ABSS), launched the itinerant socio-educational intervention service (SIS) in September.
The Itinerant Socio-Educational Intervention Service will provide service during 2024 and 2025 to six municipalities in Vallès Oriental: Sant Feliu de Codines, Vallromanes, Vallgorguina, Fogars de Monclús, Montseny and Gualba. It is a care service for children and adolescents at social risk intended to provide an integrated set of services for socio-educational intervention services:
- Support service for families with children aged 0 to 3 at risk
- Day care service
- Intervention service with families with children and adolescents at risk.
- Socio-educational support service for teenagers.
The activities are aimed at both children, teenagers and their families, through individual work, group work, network work and with the community. It ensures adequate comprehensive development, the well-being of children and their permanence with their families.
The service aims to serve children and adolescents, aged 0 to 18, in a situation of risk, and their families or legal guardians. It is an initiative that seeks to improve the quality of life of families in a situation of vulnerability and enhance family management capacity, promoting a fairer and more inclusive society through individual work, group work, network work and with the community; ensuring adequate comprehensive development and the well-being of children, reducing risk and promoting a healthy and stable family coexistence, and permanence with their family.
