On Wednesday, 4 February 2026, Suara Cooperativa welcomed the i2CAT research centre and a group of organisations from across Europe participating in a European project, with the aim of learning first-hand how we work and how we drive innovation within the organisation.

The meeting began with a brief introduction to Suara Cooperativa and its purpose, setting the context and sharing how we understand innovation as a key lever to address social and care-related challenges.

A key part of the session focused on how we drive innovation internally, through a distributed model and with distributed governance, without centralising innovation, activating the knowledge and talent of different teams and services. In this context, we explained how we work through the quadruple helix (public administration, business, academia, and citizens) and through co-creation and co-design processes, which were of particular interest to the visiting organisations.

We also shared methodologies and ways of working, with teams trained in Design Thinking and participatory dynamics such as hackathons and collaborative spaces to involve different stakeholders in the design and development of solutions.

The visit included a general tour of the facilities, showcasing some key spaces and projects. The meeting was designed as a space for exchange, where participating organisations could also introduce themselves, opening the door to potential future synergies and collaborations.
