Suara Cooperativa has recently participated in "La Febrerada". This is the first festive meeting and reflection of the social and solidarity economy (ESS) in Barcelona, held within the framework of the Strategy for the Social and Solidarity Economy in Barcelona 2030, #ESSBCN2030, to which Suara is adhered to, in its commitment to join efforts to promote the social and solidarity economy in the city.
The meeting, which aimed to advance the consolidation of the ESS in a coordinated manner by collecting the different initiatives of the participating entities, wanted to count on the testimony of Laura Peracaula, co-director general of Suara, in the talk "Quality employment in the ESS: challenges and opportunities". A day where questions were raised about the value proposition that the ESS provides for workers, the recruitment and retention of talent, as well as the management of diversity.
"La Febrerada" was one of the first events held to nurture the Social and Solidarity Economy Strategy in Barcelona 2030, #ESSBCN2030, the roadmap designed and agreed upon by the social and solidarity economy entities of the city, led by the Association Economia Social i Solidària Catalunya (AESCAT) and Barcelona City Council.
In the framework of #ESSBCN2030, 10 city projects are promoted in a collaborative way between the City Council and the ESS organizations, with the mission of growing and strengthening the ESS as a model that puts people in the decision-making center and contributes to the socio-economic development of the city.
