Closing with a day of fun activities and cooperative games to close the program year, in which Suara serves 84 children and 50 families in the cities of Girona, Salt and Banyoles.
 

Last June 7, Monar Park was the setting for the end-of-year party of the CaixaProinfància program of the "la Caixa" Foundation in Girona. The event, organized by the organizations participating in the program in Girona, brought together more than fifty people, who were able to enjoy a day full of fun and family activities with a cooperative theme, for the second consecutive year.

Among the various activities, a cooperative mural was created, a cooperative word game and the sports game of handkerchiefs adapted with cooperative dynamics. Again, the values ​​of solidarity and collaboration that characterize the philosophy of the educational reinforcement support program and link the community were asserted. According to Montse Barrantes, director of multiple socio-educational services at Suara Cooperativa, "the cooperative theme has had an excellent assessment, so we have replicated the proposal and hope to repeat the experience next year".

Success of the program and Suara's commitment to vulnerable children
 

The CaixaProinfància program is a strategic initiative of the "la Caixa" Foundation that aims to promote socio-educational actions to promote the integral development of children and their families in vulnerable situations, with the aim of generating future opportunities for them and them

Through this program, Suara Cooperativa provides support, educational reinforcement and psychomotor services in Girona, Salt and Banyoles, offering care to primary and secondary school students. 

The success of the program lies, on the one hand, in personalized attention: two days and up to 4.5 hours per week. And, on the other hand, in a small attention ratio, with 5 students per educator of average, and which can reach 1:1 with students who have greater learning difficulties. The good atmosphere and cohesion of the group of children, young people and educators is noteworthy, which lasts for 3, 4 years on average, and which facilitates a bond and community work between the family, the school, and the students. The assessment of the participants and families is very positive, as more than 75% qualify it as very positive. 

According to the latest data analyzed, the cumulative success rate of the program is very high (83.9%) and the cumulative dropout rate (0.88%) is very low, so it is an indicator of success in school.

Suara Cooperativa's work within the framework of the CaixaProinfància program is carried out in collaboration with other entities, councils and social services in the territory. The aim of offering children quality education and care that guarantee their equality of opportunities.
