The project is already an established resource in the territory and has the support of all the administrations involved. It ended last December 31, but an extension has just been signed so that it can continue in different municipalities of the Maresme for more years.
Managed by Suara Cooperativa in Canet i Arenys de Mar, the project consists of providing coverage for the basic needs of young people in a situation of homelessness, such as housing, food, transport or clothing.
On the other hand, a socio-educational task is also carried out to support people's autonomy and emancipation, with the aim of achieving socio-labor insertion and social inclusion.
After more than a year of work, from the Canet de Mar Town Hall the work of the program in the municipality is assessed 'very positively'.
Des del mes de febrer de l'any passat, s'han atès 48 joves a qui s'ha ajudat a millorar les condicions de vida i a construir un futur millor.
Networking
The success of the project has been possible thanks to the great networking that is carried out with all the collaborating agents of the municipality: City Council, Social Services, Maresme County Council, Local Police and Mossos d'Esquadra, Youth Support Area Tutelat and Extutelat, health services, as well as entities and organizations such as Red Cross, Migrastudium, Fundació Lacta and many more.
It is thanks to this networking that young people can advance in their autonomy and improve in all areas of their lives.
