This Tuesday, the Secretary for Social Affairs and Families at the Department of Social Rights, Carolina Homar, visited the headquarters of Suara Cooperative. The visit provided an opportunity to share experiences, insights and challenges related to the current model of care and support for people.

The visit focused on Suara’s commitment to innovation as a means to meet the evolving needs of society, always from a person-centred perspective. Homar was able to explore first-hand various spaces and initiatives that reflect this approach, including the Social Digital Lab, the Robotics Hub and the immersive reality room, where technology is integrated to enhance the quality of care.

She was also introduced to the Casal TV project — an audiovisual initiative led by Suara that gives a voice to older people, promotes active ageing and fosters community engagement.

The meeting served to highlight the importance of collaboration between public administrations and the third sector, which is key to advancing towards a fairer, more sustainable and socially responsive care model.

At Suara, we remain committed to transforming the care system through quality, proximity and innovation, working towards a more inclusive and cohesive society.
