The building thought team met to find out about the status of the "Adolescents, mental health and immersive room" project and participate in a co-creation workshop to make proposals for improvement.
On May 23, the members of this group, which promotes child and youth mental health projects, and the operational management of Suara Cooperativa met at the Glòries offices in Barcelona to present the pilot test of the project "Adolescents, mental health and immersive room ”, the result of a previous mapping and co-creation process.
At the beginning of the event, an update was made on the status of the initiative, delving into the theoretical model on which it is based and an application guide for professionals.
The second part consisted of a practical test about the immersive experience, where it was possible to experiment with different resources and tools as possible socio-educational and therapeutic interventions with the group of teenagers. The model is particularly innovative because it is framed in 3 possible phases depending on the context, situation and needs of the person served.
To finish, the professionals took part in a co-creation workshop to make improvement proposals and assess the applicability of the project for the different Suara services, as well as a dynamic to find a possible name for the initiative.
"It has been a very enriching day of reflection, contrast and knowledge building for all the professionals who work to improve the mental health of children and adolescents" Jèssica Andreu, project coordinator and director of UEC Cambrils.
The project is taking steps forward to continue developing and become consolidated as another tool at the service of Suara professionals and for the benefit of the people we serve.
