Suara Cooperativa’s social innovation lab, SuaraLab, has launched a call for startups to take part in the Disruptive Homecare Startup Challenge. A challenge in which startups were proposed to find solutions to transform the social and health care model. After an intense selection process, the cooperative has chosen two technology-based projects that innovate in the provision of services to the elderly or dependents and that provide solutions with disruptive care models to deal with the impact caused by the Covid-19.

These are the two selected startups:

  • Neural Actions: Neural Actions is an Argentine startup specialized in information and knowledge networks. Its aim is to create solutions in the areas of education, leisure, human resources and health, aimed at cognitive therapy to combat the effects of Alzheimer's, specifically in the loss of memories. A platform of therapies for people with cognitive impairment has been created, which allows professionals and caregivers to make personalized therapies from emotion and passion through a map to build the life story of the people cared for with artificial intelligence systems.
  • Senior Domo: Startup based in Barcelona that has developed an advanced preventive telecare system using artificial intelligence and the Internet of Things. This system allows the elderly to be more independent thanks to the monitoring of their physical condition during 24 hours in a non-invasive way, both at home and outside.

The Disruptive Homecare Startup Challenge is the second experiment promoted by this laboratory, with the aim of establishing collaborations with the startup ecosystem and synergies with emerging talent to transform care for people. The projects will receive advice and social mentoring with references and experts in the sector.
