Suara Cooperativa has received Jaume Collboni, Mayor of Barcelona, at the Glòries offices, accompanied by Marta Villanueva Cendán, Councilor for Health, People with Disabilities and Strategy against Loneliness
On behalf of Suara, Tomàs Llompart and Laura Peracaula, general co-director, and Jordi Picas, director of Innovation, have received them. The objective of this visit was to present the new projects of social and technological transformation of the Cooperative.
The mayor has been able to see in action Temi, a social robot equipped with artificial intelligence and facial recognition that can interact with people in a natural and personalized way. In addition, he has been able to learn about projects such as the Casal Online, a remote home for the elderly through the television, which offers activities and accompaniment to the elderly. On the other hand, in Suara new technologies are used for the care and care of the people we care for. In this sense, the mayor has been able to know the 3D printers, the virtual reality glasses of the OROI startup or a session of the immersive reality room, created with the collaboration of the Barcelona startup Broomx.
Social Digital Lab, commitment to social innovation
The Social Digital Lab is a clear example of Suara’s commitment to social innovation. In this space, workers, customers, people attended and experts in the sector, work together to generate new ideas and projects that improve care for people. "In Suara we are convinced that innovation is key to offering the best services to people and allows us to explore new solutions and work collaboratively to find answers to people's needs and social challenges," explained Laura Peracaula, co-director general of Suara Cooperativa.
During his visit to the facilities of the Social Digital Lab in Suara, the mayor has also been able to know first-hand the digital home of the Independent Life Center. It is the centre for personal autonomy, a benchmark in Catalonia and the main project of the Association for Independent Life, an entity of which the Cooperative is a promoting partner.
