Suara Cooperativa has received the IP22@ badge as the most innovative company for the Social Digital Lab initiative. This is a distinction awarded by the business association 22@Network BCN in recognition of those projects that contribute to the perception of the 22@ district and the city of Barcelona as an international hub of reference in innovation, with the concentration of companies, institutions and public technological bodies. At the same time, it is also a recognition for promoting visibility and promoting innovation, the urban, social and economic transformation of the 22@ sector through the projects carried out by the different entities that coexist there.

In this sense, Suara's commitment to social innovation in recent years has been the SuaraLab incubation space, which in 2021 has evolved into the Social Digital Lab to take it a step further, under the European living lab method, in the field of researching technological applications for solutions linked to health, and also in initiatives aimed at homeless people, children and young people.

Located at its headquarters in Barcelona, in plenum 22@, the Social Digital Lab works on projects and digital services in the care of people, bringing together professionals, clients, people served and experts in co-creation spaces of the sector to generate new ideas and projects through agile methodologies.

"Through the Social Digital Lab we strengthen entrepreneurship and the start-up ecosystem in the search for digital initiatives to improve people's attention and with the aim of bringing innovation to all Suara projects". points out Jordi Picas, Director of Innovation at Suara. And he adds: "We have turned part of Suara's offices into an innovation and co-design space, adapted to be able to work with universities and companies. We have also created an immersive and virtual reality room to be able to experiment and do pilot tests”.

In this sense, innovation projects with a great impact on society have been incubated from this space, such as the Infobarris mobile application, the Peers program for attention to homelessness or the Bcn4All program to promote inclusive tourism.

Mohamed El Amrani was the one who collected the IP22@ badge as a representative of Suara Innovation, at a conference held recently in Barcelona on innovation in the 22@ district, at the hands of 22@Network BCN.

Technology at the service of people

In the DNA of Suara is its commitment to identify the applications that technology can have in the field of care for people, in order to guarantee their health and well-being to the maximum. In this sense, in parallel to the projects that are being worked on from the Social Digital Lab, Suara is immersed in the development of the digital transformation of the care model for the home, the elderly and their families. A project that the cooperative is carrying out as part of the Singular Projects grants, promoted by the General Directorate of Social and Solidarity Economy, the Third Sector and Cooperatives, of the Department of Business and Labor of the Generalitat of Catalonia. At the same time, this initiative is also a commitment to improving the employability of domestic workers, based on the cooperative model and social solidarity economy.
