At Suara, we have begun the extension works at Children's Shelter of Terres de l’Ebre (CATE), a much-anticipated project that will add a new living unit with 10 additional places. This initiative represents an important step forward in strengthening our reception capacity and improving the living conditions of the people who arrive at the centre.
With this extension, we will be able to offer a space that is closer, more comfortable and better adapted to each person’s needs, from a respectful, inclusive perspective focused on their well-being. The new living unit will enable more personalised support, fostering more familiar everyday routines and safe environments where people can rebuild their life projects.
The CATE extension project is part of the ecological and digital modernisation and transformation programme, funded by the European Union’s Next Generation funds through the Department of Social Rights and Inclusion of the Government of Catalonia.
The start of the works is a new opportunity to continue improving care and support spaces and to strengthen Suara’s commitment to social intervention based on proximity, inclusion and respect for diversity. From the centre, we approach this new stage with enthusiasm and a strong sense of responsibility, with the aim of continuing to offer dignified, high-quality reception to all the people we support.
