Suara Cooperativa has launched an innovative and pioneering model to bring a virtual service to the homes of the elderly with fun, cultural, stimulation and physical activity proposals, through the television. It offers company, fun and therapeutic activities to the people who use it. It works just like a face-to-face camp, but from home.
This exclusive Suara service provides a virtual space where you can do daily activities adapted to the elderly in the company of other people with whom you create bonds and have fun, without the need for a computer or complicated programs.
Accessing the service is very simple: just install the adapter on the TV. By connecting, the person actively participates in the service and interacts in real time with the other participants without the need to travel. It is an ideal solution in cases of reduced mobility or health problems: it promotes autonomy, cognitive stimulation, and fights loneliness through bonds and joy.
El service offers morning and afternoon sessions led by experts in the field of socio-cultural animation or psychology, among others, including:
- Physical activity: stretching, relaxation, tai chi, yoga, dancing... Standing, in a chair or on the sofa, the important thing is to let yourself be carried away and participate.
- Cognitive stimulation: memory workshops and mental skill games facilitated by psychologists.
- Leisure activities: Having fun improves mood and is therapeutic. We do quizzes, bingo...
- Culture at home: virtual visits to museums, music, workshops (theatre, dance, reading...)
- Parties: we don't miss any opportunity to celebrate birthdays and other events.
The impact of Casal Online is very positive as it has been proven during the pilot tests that have been carried out so far: older people tend to get up earlier, take better care of themselves, are in better spirits and even create new relationships beyond the Casal.
The Casal Online is an initiative that has been developed by Suara within the framework of the Singulars Projects funded by the Department of Business and Work of the Generalitat de Catalunya.
