The training, carried out through a SOC (Employment Service of Catalonia) Work and Training program, also includes a one-year contract and mentorship from a technical advisor.

A total of 12 young people in foster care, care leavers, or in vulnerable situations have received training to enhance their social and personal skills, aiming to improve their employability and ease their entry into the labor market.

This has been made possible thanks to the "Work and Training for young people in foster care, care leavers, or in vulnerable situations" program by the Employment Service of Catalonia (TRFO Youth Line). In this initiative, Suara Cooperativa, Suara Inserció, and Intermedia collaborated to offer these youth a 70-hour training program, which took place from April 8 to June 17.

Through this initiative, Intermedia provided transversal training to young people from Suara Cooperativa, Suara Inserció, and Intermedia services, helping them acquire key skills to find and retain a job, as well as foster a positive working environment. Beyond this, the program offers them a one-year work contract and guidance from a technical advisor specializing in labor and independence.

Training Content

During the training, the youth worked on key areas such as effective communication, social skills, assertiveness, and teamwork. Other relevant lessons included acquiring tools to manage conflict, improving decision-making, and conveying information clearly and appropriately in professional settings.

Therefore, this is a soft skills training program through which young people strengthen their personal and professional development, aiming to build more positive work relationships, adapt better to workplaces, and communicate more effectively.

Within this framework, Suara Cooperativa has currently offered opportunities to 5 youth (4 working as administrative assistants and 1 as a cleaning operator in various Suara services in Barcelona and Amposta); Suara Inserció has employed 2 youth as cleaners in the cleaning department at CPA Zona Franca and CPA St Gervasi; and Intermedia has employed 1 youth as an administrative assistant and 4 people from the ACOL program. Out of the five youth hired by Suara, three were referred from services managed by the cooperative itself.
