It is an innovative model in Catalonia that provides the same attention to children and adolescents who have been victims of sexual violence. Inspired by the Children's Advocacy Centers in the USA and in Northern Europe's accompaniment systems, these facilities offer a safe and cozy space, designed to attend to them in the same space to prevent revictimization.
Through comprehensive emotional and psychological support, they are guaranteed that they receive the necessary support to deal with their experiences. Barnahus works to prevent, detect early and help in the recovery of children and adolescents who have suffered from sexual abuse, coordinating with various departments of the Generalitat.

In addition, with the aim of consolidating and improving our attention, we have recently joined as members of the European Barnahus network. This organization is dedicated to promoting good practices in the protection of children and adolescents against sexual violence.
Barnahus represents a significant breakthrough in our task of protection and support for vulnerable children in the cooperative. Today we accompany about 4,000 children, adolescents and young people throughout the territory, adding 37 years of experience, responding to social challenges in an innovative way.
