Suara Cooperativa has been one of the cooperatives awarded this year in the CoopCat Awards organized annually by the Confederation of Cooperatives of Catalonia. It has been taken into account "the work they carry out in caring for the physical and emotional health of people, promoting the participation of cooperative members in governance and being a benchmark in care models for vulnerable groups". The act of recognition to the awarded cooperatives was held on Thursday, December 17, online.

The director of the People Area, Mònica Vázquez, collected the award on behalf of Suara Cooperativa: "The commitment to people and for people has allowed us to overcome many difficult and complicated moments and to continue advancing day by day despite uncertainties. In Suara, the well-being of the professionals has always been a central element, from the conviction that people are the strength of the cooperative, and this reverts to the quality of services".

The jury, made up of Xavier Palos (Roca Galés Foundation), Nuria Rodríguez (University of Barcelona), Víctor Cardona (Caixa d'Enginyers) and Josep Maria Canyelles (Respon.cat) also recognized the coop Comunitat Minera Olesana in the category 'Commitment with the territory ', the Cooperative Group Fruits de Ponent in the category' Commitment to intercooperation ', the Celobert architecture cooperative in the ‘Trajectory’ category, the Som Mobilitat cooperative in the ‘Young and innovative’ category and Àuria Grup in the ‘Special category Covid19’.

The president of the Confederation of Cooperatives of Catalonia, Guillem Llorens, said that "it is essential to make visible the enormous task that cooperatives do in our house: for social cohesion and for a fairer distribution of wealth." For his part, the Minister of Labor, Social Affairs and Families, Chakir el Homrani, stressed that "cooperativism has been in the trench at the time of giving a country response in a crisis like that of covid19"
