Suara Cooperativa's Social Digital Lab has hosted a day of reflection and co-creation on longevity and the Silver Economy. The gathering brought together representatives from the innovation ecosystem, businesses, social organizations, and public administration to explore how the social economy can lead new solutions with social and economic impact in the face of longevity transformation.
The session, held at the Social Digital Lab facilities in Barcelona, combined a strategic outlook on the longevity economy with hands-on work dynamics. The objective of the meeting was to connect knowledge and capabilities to identify challenges and drive collaborative projects in areas such as care, personal autonomy, well-being, and community participation.
One of the most innovative elements of the day was the combination of Design Thinking methodology with artificial intelligence. Participants worked alongside a virtual AI assistant—developed by Mohamed El Amrani's firm Indigo—which accompanied the entire co-creation process, facilitating the generation, testing, and development of ideas. This experience allowed exploring the potential of technology as a support tool for open innovation without replacing human creative capacity.
The meeting featured the participation of Suara professionals from various services and corporate structure, as well as representatives from organizations and initiatives such as Barcelona Activa, Eurecat, ACCIÓ, IBE, KAMLEON, Empresa +55, and professional Montse Barceló.
Longevity is one of the major transformational challenges facing our society, but it is also an opportunity to innovate. From the social economy, we have much to contribute: we understand people's needs and the reality of care. The challenge is connecting this knowledge with other ecosystem actors and exploring new methodologies and technologies that help us move from ideas to solutions generating social and economic impact.
